How WanderOn Grew Commercial Organic Discovery by 126%
1.At a glance
126% Commercial non-brand clicks | 84% Clicks across focus destinations | 70% Overall non-brand clicks | 125% Ladakh-page impressions |
WanderOn already had a large travel-content footprint. The opportunity was not to publish more for the sake of traffic. It was to make the website more discoverable when travellers searched for destinations, packages, routes, seasons and trip-planning information.
2.The challenge
WanderOn had built significant authority through travel content, but much of the organic footprint was concentrated in blogs. The connection between informational discovery and commercial destination pages was not as strong as it could be.
The challenge was to support the complete travel-planning journey—from discovering a destination to evaluating a package—without turning the website into a collection of disconnected pages.
3.The Revenify approach
We shifted the strategy from isolated keywords and individual blogs to destination-led organic growth. The execution focused on strengthening priority destination ecosystems, connecting informational and commercial pages, expanding coverage around real traveller journeys, and improving the technical foundation required to scale.
The strategic shift Build around destinations and traveller journeys—not around isolated keywords. The case study shows the direction and outcomes without exposing the operating playbook behind the system. |
4.Commercial organic discovery more than doubled
Between April and June, commercial non-brand clicks increased by 126%. Overall non-brand clicks grew by 70%, while total search impressions increased by 37%.
The result indicated that WanderOn was becoming more discoverable for destination and trip-related searches—not only for general travel information.

5.Focus destinations outgrew the overall website
Clicks across focus destinations increased by 84%, compared with 37% growth in overall search impressions. The destinations receiving structured attention were beginning to operate as a distinct growth layer within the website.

6.Ladakh became the clearest proof of the strategy
Across Ladakh-related pages, impressions increased by 125%, clicks increased by 78%, and weighted average position improved by nearly three positions.
The movement appeared across the wider planning journey—including packages, routes, bike trips, permits and destination information—showing that the ecosystem was becoming stronger as a whole.

7.The primary Ladakh package page moved closer to commercial demand
The main Leh Ladakh tour-package page recorded approximately 46% growth in impressions, 29% growth in clicks, and an improvement of approximately 13 ranking positions.
This mattered because the commercial page sat at the centre of the destination ecosystem. The wider cluster was not only generating visibility—it was also strengthening the page closest to trip consideration.

8.Worked pages started building momentum
The pages directly created or optimised under the strategy were tracked separately. During one monitored weekly period, worked-page impressions increased by 43% and worked-query impressions increased by approximately 19%.
The Ladakh how-to-reach cluster recorded 67% growth in impressions and 27% growth in clicks—an early sign that the worked pages were gaining visibility independently of WanderOn’s older inventory.

9.A stronger search foundation
The ranking and indexation base also moved in the right direction. Keywords in positions 4–10 increased by 21%, keywords in positions 11–20 increased by 58%, and keywords beyond position 20 declined by approximately 10%.
At the same time, indexed URLs increased by approximately 8% and non-indexed URLs declined by approximately 10%.

10.What changed
• Built around destinations instead of isolated keywords
• Connected informational discovery with commercial intent
• Strengthened priority package and destination pages
• Improved internal linking, indexation and search architecture
• Tracked worked pages separately from overall site movement
11.The impact
WanderOn’s organic presence started operating less like a collection of travel articles and more like a destination-led discovery engine. Ladakh demonstrated that the same model can be repeated across other priority destinations.
